St Andrew's Anglican Church in Techiman Municipality, Ghana, West Africa
David Tamcken our Island contact for IDWAL (Inter diocesan West Africa Link) visited Ghana at the end of October and managed to see Barnabas for a short time. He reported back that the mission house is still very basic with no running water inside and when it rained for a short time during David’s visit he found himself helping Barnabas collect rainwater from the roof! They have managed to plaster the holes in the wall which has meant all sorts of creatures can now no longer give them night time visits. The church is at the point where the metal roof struts can go on. This is all done by hand so is a dangerous and difficult process. David bought back a note from Barnabas thanking us for all our efforts and donations which I have printed out below.
Hello Rev Dawn
I hope you are very healthy by the Grace of God. May I on behalf of the St Andrews Parish in Techiman, Ghana, express my profound gratitude to you for the effort you are making to strengthen our Link with St Blasius.
We thank the congregation for yet another donation to support our annual harvest which was organised last Sunday 27th October 2013. David kindly made the donation on your behalf. The entire congregation of St Andrews was glad to hear that. Thank you. God richly bless you. Barnabas
